Low dust pads for W209 CLK 63s

At 42K miles on the original pads and rotors I am starting to look at a brake job this winter while it is in storage.

Wondering what folks like in the other than OE pads....

I will prolly just go with OE rotors though since I have a wholesale acct. with my local dealer....even still that ***** is super expensive.

TIA

Porterfield R4s street pads or Akebono Euroceramic pads.

I still have my R4s for approx 10-11 years on my car and drove approx 55000km's with them.
I still have plenty of meat left.
Maybe I don't brake too hard or brake the Fred Flintstone way with my feet?

I don't think Akebono produce front pads for Clk55/Slk55 6-pot calipers or even all 63's 6-pot calipers..!!

if so, anyone here can light it up, with part #'s..?!?!?!?

I could only find Akebonos for the rear calipers for a CLK63....I assume the brakes are the same for the Black Series and the regular bodied W209 63s (?)

I wish they had them for the fronts. I love them on my allroad.

Rear Akebono pads for the CLK63 are 'EUR984' and are about $100 for the axle.

a $100 per axle? Please tell me you meant for the rear as a pair. Oh well I was lucky to have paid roughly $80 for my rear at the time however my fronts were quite a bit. Roughly $250 or so and they a Spanish brand in some red colour box named Remsa. The part number on their site is article no. 1192.00
The trade numbers are PCA119200 and D1116-8222

Yes, retail online is about $100 for the pair/set for the rear wheels....wholesale would be around $80.

Kyle,

I contacted to Akebono (Japan), they confirm to me, they didn't make pads for "Clk55/Slk55 6-pot calipers or even all 63's 6-pot calipers..!!

if you find Akebono pads, just careful about it, it will be 100% FAKE..?!?!?!?!

I only show Centric offering a Ceramic formula and I have no experience with their pad formula. Akebono's main focus as of mid-2015 is their Original Equipment business so I really could not see them developing additional pads for AMG applications in the near future.

Hey Jim they working well for me. Brakes efficiently but when I did my brakes I replaced disc and pads at front, rear pads only and new brake fluid after flushing out each calliper. Only problem is there is quite a decent amount of brake dust before every wash but hey the pad is soft on the disc. Till now don't have any abnormal lines on the disc. When my disc get surface rust due to rain, one gentle drive by with no harsh braking and they all cleaned up again.

racingbrake makes a set and I run them with their 2 piece rotors on my front and they're great! plus you can reuse their aluminum hat and save yourself a bit of money. they also throw in their brake pads for free if you order their stuff!

Oh really? I will check them out then, thx...they provide free pads with the rotors? Gosh. Are the pads decent/comparable to OE?

Thanx for the feedback on the Remsa pads too Khan 55.

Do you mean 'Posi' Centric? I have them on my RS6...they are nice, and low dust. They have pads for the 63 front calipers? Cost?

Akebono is missing out on a lot of business from AMG owners with 6 pot brakes !

RS6s are still a weak spot for me. Ironically the RS7 uses the same pad shape as the 63.
