sudden loss of throttle on 203 clk55
Had a strange occurrence whilst driving my 2003 Clk55, went to accelerate to pass a slower moving car but got no response from the accelerator. In fact it went into a kind of limp mode. Had to pull over, turn the car off and re start before normal operation was resumed. Any ideas as to the problem guys ?

Impossible to say without doing more research. Any CEL? Codes pulled out?
Wild ques: Multiple missfire and cylinder shutdown by ECU. New plug lead set and atleast the coils where codes are triggered from.
