W209 interior trim removal...
Has anyone done it or is there a DIY on removing all the trim on this chassis? I know some must just pry off like on the dash, does any other require like a door card off to remove?
I'd like to switch out the OE aluminum trim to wood veneered pieces eventually....or maybe just wrap these in a wood grain from 3M.

Is this for the CLK63 cab? If so, Ive never removed the rear pieces of trim because Ive always owned hard tops. However, to remove the wood trim pieces from the door is not very difficult.
Have you removed the door card before? If not, there is some good DIYs here. There is a handful of screws, and then its just clips that you pop out. Once the door card is removed, you will see that the door trim pieces are held in by thin, round little washers. After you remove those, the trim piece will come out of the door.
Honestly, if you have the OEM Aluminum pieces, Id be willing to bet you could trade somebody with a non-AMG and ask for a little bit of money in the trade. IMO, most people want to upgrade to the aluminum from the wood, so why not made a few bucks out of the deal!! Then you get real wood instead of wrapping the valuable aluminum pieces.

Perfect, thanks !
I'd love to trade someone who wants the aluminum trim; I'm just not a big fan of it...I like the wood veneer look. Tho I'd prolly keep the set so the car can be brought back to original specs if I decide to sell it.

The Black Birdseye is Beautiful as well. Burlwood melts (charms) the girls down too.
I first saw the Aluminum and thought it was aftermarket. I believe in keeping OEM for resale as well.
Enjoy Gator
