Very quick stock wheel width question
For my 208 I have 17" stock wheels that now need to be replaced, this past winter and potholes finally has done them in. My question on stock wheel width for a 208 are the wheels 17x7.5 in the front and 17x8.5 in the rear, with a 35 high positive offset all around or do I have this all gummed up. BTW Of all the things about modding and upgrading any vehicle baselining the wheels I find the most annoying because there are so many variables, diameter, width offset, backspace and so little consistency and precision in the language used by owners, vendors etc. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, not even a look let alone a response. I guess everybody hates dealing with wheel issues as much as I do, lol. Thanks anyway.

There are a few ways to find the dimensions you are after.
I would first search a tire vendor site for wheel compatibles for the car. Measurements are usually given for comparison and compatibility.
Remove the wheels and measure the dimensions which is a bit of labor.
You could WIS them or visit a Mercedes dealer with the proper part numbers.
A reputable tire store should be able to get you close and possibly measure them for you.
No mysteries just have to find the right way to measure them. They have the tools in good tire stores as well.
I would also check the W208 forum for wheel chart pdf. MB benzworld, Pelican, sister sites as well.
Cheers
