the endless wheel/tire question...
It did help the 0-60 times substantially by allowing me faster hole shots, but it is still very tricky to get a launch without excessive spin. Still, they definitely hook up *much* better than the stock 245s did.
Handling-wise: depends upon how crazy you drive!
I get spirited at times but nothing too crazy; if you really push it hard and often, you may ending up wanting to go with a bit wider fronts (235s would probably do) to keep the balance. But I'm perfectly happy with it, and have stayed with the stock-width front tires. I believe Improviz has this set up. He has posted some very impressive 0 to 60 times since he gained the added traction. He also said that the ride quality was basically unchanged.
Since switching, the best I've done was 4.77, and can hit consistent hi 4's without difficulty. Considering that I ran a 13.4 with the stock rubber, I'm certain I can get in the very low 13's with the new tires, possibly a bit better if the track conditions are good, but I'm not sure how soon I'll be going back out there...lots going on right now! When I do, I'll post results.
Oh, almost forgot: no, I don't have any mods other than the rear tires.
What did you get at best 0-60 and 1/4 mile? do you have any other mods??
