6 CD tray problem

2004 Mercedes CLK55 AMG
6 CD tray problem
My 2004 CLK55 AMG has a 6 audio CD tray in the glove compartment. Recently it started interminently NOT recognizing loaded CD's. It seems like when I take the tray out and shake the CD's, the problem goes away just to come back. What's happening?

maybe it's time to send it away for repairs?
there are lots of shops repairing MB electronics, units will be like new.
