True Dual Exhaust clk 55
It isn't finished yet...hopefully next week but decided to share it in the functioning mockup stage.
so far my setup sounds mean asf.
surprisingly the exhaust system was easier than anticipated. basically you can delete the rear 2 cats and there is the room for your dual exhaust muffler(s). cut out the battery tray and install a new one in the same place just a little higher. Long as you have a competent fabricator doing true duals is not nearly as difficult as I imagined...aka not as expensive!!!
lessons learned.....pick out your resonators and tips.....let your fabricator pick out a muffler that fits! lol.
ok I have no idea how to share videos in flikr or the bbc code on this forum is broken....take your pick
either way copy and paste the text below in your browser without the dashes and lemme know if it works for you....just wait a few until the white play arrow appears then you are ready to go.

p.s. i have an extra rear bumper just like mine that i will sell for only 275 if you pick up.....not willing to ship tho....I don't have that type of discount like the distributors do and you'd end up paying more for it than a new one but if you are willing to take a trip then you can land it for half price.

That sounds real nice bro,
What size pipe did you use? Diffuser looks kinda like a extreme dimension. Is that so?
Blackbenzz did his in 3" I believe which is kind of overkill for street but we all know our limitations.
I like it, might be a ticket magnet though HaHa

yes, it is an ed product BR-T I think. I didn't expect it to fit so well. I do plan on modifying mine however; I want to remove the centerpiece and replace with an actual MB diffuser or at least fill in all that grill mesh.
I went with 2.5 in diameter. Also wasn't Blackbenz using forced induction?
I will have more very soon hopefully of the finished product.

I had to learn the imaging too. Best way to take a cell phone image into a PC is open with paint.
Edit pixel size down to around 500. It will upload around 56kb instead of 2M.
BB was defiantly SC with max kleeman boost and Eurocharged special tune. Like I said We have to know our Limitations in the street.
2.5" is a nice moderate street pipe considering the OEM tune was around 1.75" stock at the ex manifold collector. I would love to see the battery tray mod. It has been done before but new upgraded mods are always welcome.
I am sure my battery will end up on the front of the spare tire well.
Cheers,Gator

couple more low res photos. it is all finished now...unfortunately there was not enough clearance to graft on the diffuser I wanted but we did fill in that grill mesh and it doesn't look bad. I managed to snap one pic before they finished the battery box as you requested. I will post an complete pic soon but it all is professional and will post some hi res pics and some vids.
my exhaust....it is one of those things that has turned out even better than I had hoped so love it!
The exhaust snorts, snarls, burps, bellows, growls and when you push the pedal....it definitely roars!

at some point I will photo everything as my clk is pretty close to completion(until the engine fails and i go with a e55 engine... )
but here is an overview pic of where I am at with it so far.
also as a bonus...I literally picked this little bird up last week but eventually they will both receive full resto-mods but these 2 belong together.....I consider them both monikers. The CLK 55 when it was first introduced did many great things and IMO really put the AMG skunkworks into the limelight; it got alot of attention as with the Z06 which in this iteration was the first time using that badge since the 60's and when the Z06 first hit the scenes it became instantly recognized both by current and past generations of enthusiast alike.
IMO both of these should be considered classics in the future!

Hmmm!!
I get the picture giving me some ideas . These cars never did look good in photos as they do in person. This car looks priceless Nice work
Did the extra difuser sell? Might be interested.
Cheers, Gator

I will post more pics this weekend. the diffuser was scrapped bc he had already modified it before determining it would not work. I think you are talking about the extra rear bumper and no, I still have it and would love to get rid of it!
the entire job cost me a little over 2k(2030) including all parts and labor but I did get a break on the bumper.
Bumper - $0
exhaust parts - $350
exhaust labor - $530
misc modification - $700
paint - $450

I have a shipping box for the bumper but the holidays always approach when desired parts come available.
Will PM if a plan summarizes.
The Z06 is indeed a runner. I trumped a cab version one morning after work and we were both surprised. Was a nice clean hard run. My buddy next to me was about to loose his bowel. HaHa

again been falling behind.....putting attention into the Z06 now but also the finishing touches on the 55 AMG.
I am on the latter part of an interior transformation and restoration which I will post many pics when it is finished!
All that is left
Interior:
new headliner + some other goodies
gauge cluster: new overlay, led backlighting and new ribbon cables.
replacement steering wheel - black(for now: I will revisit with something more fancy later).
I have some other items I am working on as well in regards to handling and appearance and then I basically enjoy it until the engine dies at which point I do E55 engine swap.
as promised the revised battery box which isn't going anywhere. although I may hit it with some rubberized coating or something soon!
also a revised pic of the Z06 which has received a few styling enhancements since last time.
I will def try to get some vids/audio next weekend for sure!

Battery Tray looks good.
I am finally getting time to get back online.I did my pixels last month since the car is down for front end work. Replaced all lamps as well. many were burnt out. AutohausAZ has them reasonable.
Picked a cold day to RnR the cluster. I purchased new LED displays from Ebay with the ribbons attached. Success. Have some photos but dont want to hijack your thread.
I will send you a PM on the Bumper.
Cheers Gator
