'02 CLK55 - Fog Light Bulb Replacement?
Hey Guys,
Can someone please confirm the level of difficulty replacing the fog light bulb using the standard car jack and jack stand? I generally try to avoid working underneath the car, but might attempt this one based off the responses. The other question I have is whether or not the entire plastic shield will have to be removed? It appears some models have an access point for the lights which folds down. Also, there has been much debate with regard to the bulb type on this model. I'm pretty sure it uses an H3, please correct me if I am wrong.
Any insight would be appreciated!

It is an easy fix.
I do not enjoy climbing under the car either.. You have to jack it up but not climb under. (Jack stand optional).
A spring clip holds the H/X lamp. Do not touch the glass part of the lamp with fingers.
If you change only one lamp make sure the wattage matches or warnings might appear.
