MB CLK 55 AMG registry?
Cheers all,
Just bought an 02 CLK55 AMG Cabriolet. Triple black. I was able to find that they imported about 1,300 of these to the States in 2002. I was just wondering if there is a registry (like Marti for Fords) that lists the number of cars imported to the US with specific options? Like 400,in triple black, 289 in triple black with navigation, 345 in triple black with navigation, and designo interior, ETC???? Can you find that info at the dealer?
One more question, Long term storage, I live out of the country and am only able to drive my car for a month or two at a time. Should I disconnect the battery during the storage months?

Congrats on the purchase of a very rare AMG. There a lot of difference in the coupe n cab I am also finding.
Special wheels, Spring pads and rear frame construction. The car has performance oriented frame tie supports as well.
There is no known registry other than Chappy plaque for the engine designer. Register with AMG private lounge for more information.
Chappy is a champ here and has a world of knowledge on the nature of the W208 AMG.

If the car and battery are in good condition there is no need to disconnect the battery. I usually do it at Airport for piece of mind when traveling. To each their own. Chalute Salome

Thanks Gator for the reply. I will check out chapy and see what he has to say. I'm just really excited about this car and want to find out as much as I can about the car.
