2001 CLK55 AMG

there’s a beautiful clk55 for sale at a local dealership. I’ve never bought a car before and I’m looking for advice on what to look for when I check out this clk. Should I get it checked out by a Mercedes mechanic even though im buying from a dealership? What other things should I ask and look out for with the dealership itself?
