I took my beater CLK55 to the track yesterday and got some baseline results before I start to make modifications. Seems like my 60' needs some work, but I'm not sure how to improve it other than start the race with cooler IATs.

Best ET: 13.803
Best MPH: 101.99

What kind of 60' and 1/4 mile ET's do you guys run in a stock W208 CLK55? (I had Hoosiers on so traction was not a problem)

Nice post, i just visted your site, great wright up! what 0 - 60 did you achieve from the ol 208?

I have no idea what the 0-60 time is, just that the 60' time was 2.107s. I do know that acceleration off the line is sluggish, and the throttle response is terrible. I was cutting .3xx lights when I'm normally under .1xx in the E55.

I was out there on my C55 on 31st of March and I ran into you. We were supposed to race but sadly your car was leaking diff/tranny fluid.

I ended up running a best of 13.34 @ 107mph with a 2.2 60', only mod then was secondary shorties removed. I added shorty headers since then and hope to be back out there once my new tires arrive.

You definitely would have kicked my butt! I'll be back at PIR on July 21st running with the Streetcar Syndicate. We run 1/8th mile instant green heads-up races. You and I would be a good match now that I've lightened the car a little. Let me know if you want to run with our group and I'll give you more details.
