Hello,

Just had my front bumper replaced and temp reading is outta whack!

I know this has been asked and I did search around but most posts are for newer CLK's or other models. I recall seeing the pointy little sensor a few years ago and I believe its right by a fog light but can't recall which side of the car?

I thought there was even a little hole to snap it in that was part of the bumper. I have looked all over and assuming the wiring harness and sensor are dangling around. No luck yet. Just try to pinpoint where it supposed to be.

thanks!

Near the driver's side foglight. Mine is just dangling in mid-air because the bracket is missing; not sure how it is supposed to be mounted. If you are getting a crazy temp reading the sensor may be missing. Look for a plug with nothing attached.

Ok thanks. I think there is supposed to be a mount to insert that is part of the bumper or attached to it. I recall seeing it at one time but I suspecting this new bumper didn't come with whatever is needed to mount it. I have an appointment with the body shop this afternoon and hoping they can pull up a diagram and/or find the sensor or its cabling.
