2007 CLK63 AMG
New CLK63 owner.
Greetings from a new owner of a 2007 CLK63 AMG. Not new to the 6.3 V8 as I had a 300SEL 6.3 years ago, but this one is a tad bit faster
Three things I'm curious about... the headlights. This one has halogen bulbs, not HID. Was HID an option? I would have thought that the top trim model would have come with HID as standard equipment.
It does have phone support, but does not appear to have Bluetooth pairing capability.
It has an iPod interface cable but the AUX 1/8 inch jack is hidden behind a trim panel. Will the AUX input work or must I somehow disable the iPod interface?
Thanks very much for your commends and support. Hope this car isn't an endless money pit... but hey, you can't take it with you

Welcome to MBWorld and grats on the pickup. Yes, there is a halogen and HID option on that 209 which is really stupid as AMG is top of the line and none should have halogen option to begin with. It's an easy fix though. We have Morimoto H7 HID conversion kits that are canbus enabled for easy error free install if interested. $150/kit and offered in 5500K pure white and 6500K white with a slight bluish hue. Also have matching canbus 194 wedge LEDs for the front parking light in the inner housing and 36mm festoon rear plate LEDs to complete the exterior light conversion and really freshens the look doing away with the dull yellowish halogen bulbs. Shoot us a PM or email us directly at aznoptics@gmail.com and we'll get you set up.

How about an LED option? These are not projector headlights and I would not put HID in non projector applications. Been there; done that with poor results.
