2008 CLK550... No crank No start issue

CLK550 2008
2008 CLK550... No crank No start issue
Turned on the car and drove to the shops. Went shopping... came back and the car would not turn on. Checked battery and headlights. Everything was good. Turned key again and nothing happens. No click click click. Bad starter?

2004 CLK55 AMG
I had a similar problem happen - I disconnected and reconnected the negative terminal and that fixed the issue.
