Considering Bigger Wheels???
I am considering bigger wheels and feel 18's would work for me. I am very new to the AMG world and would love to hear some of the pro's and con's, which brand is best for me, etc.. I like the AMG and Brabus best so far. I noticed the other new topic pertaining to this as well which has been helpful.
Thanks

Please shoot me an e-mail: harris@hartonmotorwerks.com, I would be happy to assist you in detail on choosing the right wheel for your car.

Hey Harris,
Just thought I'd take advantage of your knowledge as well, if you would be so kind. I too would like to put the largest width wheel/tire combo possible on the rear, while retaining the stock 225/45/17s on the front of my 208 CLK 55?
My objective is increased traction for quicker launches and lower 1/4 mile times.
I've read elsewhere that the 265/35/18 on E 55 rims, match my stock wheels looks and will fit without clearance problems. If this is the case, my 2nd ? is if the height is close enough to my stock 245/40/17s, not to cause any problems with the ESP/ABS system?
Anyone know of any E55 rims for sale near/in the Baltimore, Maryland area?
Thanks,
Thanks in advance!

Rev: Sorry, I dont quite get your question. You want to put 17" in the front and 18" in the rear?
It is not recommended to put the E55 wheels on a W208 or W209 because of hardware issue. There is a Style IV specifically made for the 203/209/208 that looks exactly like the E55 wheels.
Going to 18's will only HURT your 1/4 mile times.

Thanks! I will look for the style IVs then.
How about 0-60 times? I seem to get a lot of wheel spin, and I thought that with the wider tires I could improve my traction and hole shots.
