CLK55 2002 Extended MB Warranty?

CLK55 2002 Extended MB Warranty?
Anyone know if it is possible to buy a MB warranty on a car still under factory warranty w/ 8k miles on it. My dealer says MB won't sell them.
I've purchased MB warranties after the fact.. so this seems kind of odd.

For a factory extended warranty, Mercedes-Benz offers this option to the original owner for up to 12 months from the purchase date.
Check into the Daimler-Chrysler extended warranty, though I'm not certain if they will do AMG or the V12s. If not, you'll have to go aftermarket if still desiring one.

I bought my 2002 CLK55 Cab used from a MB dealer a couple of months back and bought a 2yr extended warrantee from them without a problem so I have 1 yr left in the original warrantee, 1 yr of Starmark, and 2yrs of extended so I have 4yrs left. I figured a convertible has so many moving parts it will be expensive to repair if there were problems.
