Swapping my cl55 amg drivetrain

I came across a cl55 amg yesterday. I'm contemplating swapping all the drivetrain in my 67 Chevelle or 64 Thunderbird. I haven't seen it done yet so here we go. I'll be posting pictures of the progress

Do the Chevelle save the ford. haha
Either car will be a challenge, The chevele is lighter and the tbird rides nice already.

Sounds like a fun project! Keep us posted. And let me know if you decide to go standalone on the ECU and TCU. I hope to have my CLK55 running by March on aftermarket computers.

PIR season opener? Hoping to be there with my bone stock E55 (or the C55 to see if the shorty headers made a difference) and my fiancee with her Challenger RT. I ran into you there last year in my C55 and we almost raced, right before staging someone noticed fluid dripping from your diff.

I remember that night! It turned out to just be a leaky oil plug. I'll be at PIR early in the season, not sure about the first day though. Let me know when you go and I'll try to make it.
