W209 - creaking from top mount
My 2003 / 120k CLK55 has developed a creaking from
what appears to be the top mount on one side, when turning.
Is this a typical failure mode and would replacing one or both make an improvement to steering that I could actually feel?
Would welcome experiences from others.

Can be a strut, upper ball joint or upper control arm bushing.
You can try to isolate the squeak with a can of spray lube one part at a time. Im betting on the strut.
Cheers, Gator
