POWERCHIP Install Question

Has anybody out there done their own removal / replacement of the ECU in order to send it to POWERCHIP for re-programming? If it's a relatively "goof-proof" procedure, I just can't justify paying the dealership to do it for me. I also can already hear their apprehension about being an accomplice to an aftermarket upgrade. Any help greatly appreciated.

I sent my ECU to Renntech and took it out myself a while back. It was a simple procedure. If I remember correctly all you have to do is unscrew a cover, then unplug the ECU and pull it out. Renntech even sent me step by step pictures on how to do it. Unfortunately I deleted them!
