Considering local purchase of 2004 CLK55 AMG CAB
I'm considering a 2004 CLK55 AMG cabriolet that is listed locally at a non Mercedes auto dealer. I have not looked at the car in person, just on the website. I haven't pulled a Carfax or spoken to the dealership as of yet. I just emailed to see if the car was still available. The description from the dealership is as follows: REAL AMG with 372 Horse Power.!! Babied, garaged kept and treated like the family pet. Black paint, body is in excellent condition, Black Conv. Top with X-clean Gray leather heated seats. Has a new Mercedes convertible top with the glass window, an OEM part. Tires have @ 75% - 80% tread-life left on them, all 4 rims are in excellent condition with no curb rash. This car has ALL available options, and they All work as they should. *MSRP on this car was $ 88,425.
Has 110K miles, That is ONLY 7,800 miles per year. ***
Engine Runs Smooth, automatic transmission that shifts great and handles awesome. It has the optional Wood Grain interior trim, and not the stainless steel trim package.
Luxury and Sportiness both at the same time, with a plushly lined, well insulated convertible top that makes this a versatile car that can be driven year round. Serious callers only. *No E-mails please.!
I have been interested in a CLK63 AMG cabriolet or an SL55 AMG for quite some time, but both are currently somewhat out of the price range. I love performance, but am also not looking for massive upkeep or major expense (ABC, etc. can be pricey). This is local to me and I would be able to see in person and test drive. Any thoughts or cautions? Thanks in advance.
