Newbie to Forum Greetings!
Hi all
New to the forum but not to Mercedes. Just picked up a 2007 CLK 550 with only 100,000 kms. AMG package.
The gent I purchased from had the vehicle stored from November to May of this year. There is a distinct musty order that seems to be in bedded in the material.
I tried baking soda, carpet cleaner...
I wonder if the air filers might need changing or such
Wondering if there is anyone who has experienced the same before I spend too much on a pro cleaning job
Thanks in advance

You might try an ozone generator. I've never used one before, but I just watched an episode of Jafromobile on Youtube where he used one with great success.

Replacing the air filters may or may not help, but definitely something to do. Odors are difficult to deal with because they'll get in anything porous, and fabrics are the worst. The headliner and carpet will be your worst offenders.

Sunshine helps. Cab owners are prone to leave the top down at times.
If you want to inspect deep pull the front carpets and insulation from the floor. Its easy.
If water is found you will know what to do. Vac and let the carpets dry in the sun.
follow up with shampoo any dried grey water.
Mold in carpets and headliner will get one sick.
AC mold is possible from neglected cabin filter replacement and or a nasty Evap coil.
A cup of bleach once in a while helps keep the condensate drains clean as well for leaves and infest from storage.
All Cheers, Gator
