W208 Rear wheel fitment question

Hey Guys
I'm new to the forum but have been secretly stealing nuggets of helpful information without subscribing to the platform.
So out of the shadows I come.
I have 2 CLK430's 1black & 1silver. Although minor, Both have there own sets of issues.
today I am placing 17x8 /5x112/38+ offset aftermarket wheels, Mounted on 245-40-17 Hankook ventus V12 on the car. They fit fine in the front but,
making a metal scratching noise in the rear .

Can someone help me with what I possibly need?
spacers? If so what MM?
shorter lug bolts? If so what size?

hmmm surprised you were able to fit those tires in the front, 245 tires on 38et wheel should be touching the knuckle... anyway, sounds like your issue in the rear is due to bolts too long. hard to tell what size you need becuase it depends on the wheel (not just wheel width and offset). my recommendation is to use a 5mm spacer in both front and rear, check how much the bolts stick out when you put it inside the wheel, it should be around 20mm i think with the spacer. you should reach out to OtisLA (google them) to confirm exact size of bolts you need.

I second what Quant said. A 38mm offset on a 8" wheel should fit fine. Your bolts are probably rubbing on the parking brake bits.

Thank you both,
I figured the bolts are too long but I stayed with the factory lugs because the wheels ( stock AMG/Aftermarket Vision469 boost) are almost identical in set up but I'm gonna buy some spacers tomorrow & see what happens.
