Clicking Noise Coming From Trans?? PLEASE HELP!
2004 - CLK55 2000 miles -
When i am pulling out of my driveway in reverse while leaving my garage up a small steep hill i have been getting a click, just one coming from the trans "i think" when i put on the gas. i get the same click while starting from a light, stop sign, etc.. as well as when the car is switching gears. this happens in all 3 modes, mostly in manual. it does not always happen. and it has not gotten more frequent or louder with time but i have been paying more attenition so i hear it more often. i bought the car new with 57 miles and am wondering if it was driven too hard prior to my owning it before break-in, or if its a normal sound, or do i have to take it in??? please advise!! its making me nuts!
ANYONE HAVE THIS ISSUE, OR ANYTHING LIKE IT? PLEASE HELP!

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I developed the same sound on my C55 over the weekend, I'm bringing the car in for service tomorrow and would appreciate any additional infromation you may have.
