2009 CLK350
W209 throwing P0123, P0222, P2135 and no acceleration
My 2009 CLK350 is a third vehicle that I have not driven in months. I fired it up this past weekend to take it to get new tires and it was running a bit rough and the check engine light was on. I read the codes with the OBD2 device and I'm getting three:
P0123 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A circuit High Input
P0222 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "B" Circuit Low input
P2135 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A/B Voltage Correlation
The car drives in idle, but if I give it any gas, it will rev slightly and then die.
I'm comfortable with changing the throttle position sensor if it's bad, but what is the pedal positon sensor? Is that the accelerator pedal? Are there multiple sensors and the code isn't specific enough to tell me which the problem is? I'm worried that my gas may be a little old. Could there be something else that is failing that is causing a false positive for the TPS?
I just don't know where to start. If there are a few easy things I can try before buying and replacing parts. This car wasn't driven in months because I just don't go anywhere anymore and when I do, I take another vehicle. If I can get this thing up and running, I will probably sell it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If your ODB2 reader allows you to read live data you could probably watch the TPS voltage as a function of throttle position. Also on my 2011 CLK55 more than once I had issues with very low power and just disconnecting and reconnecting the battery fixed the problem. Just a couple easy things to try...
