They had the full specs of the 2004 CLK55 in Car and Driver a couple of months ago. When I go home tonight I will try and look it up. Unfortuanetly I don't have a scanner.
I'll post the info tomorrow.
What I would like to know is how many 2003 CLK55's were made for the United States??

W209 CLK55 AMG, 89' E300
CLK55's built
im not quite sure how many exactly were sold in the US but i know that every MB dealership in the country got only 1 W209 CLK55 AMG. im not sure if that means they replace the ones sold or not but i know that it is one of the more rare AMG's. My dad for example owns a 2003 CLK55 AMG and we live in Oregon but we got it from Ohio and weve seen only 2 others in Oregon and im not quite sure but we should have around that many MB dealerships around here. btw Auto week gave the 2003 CLK55's a .83 g's for the skidpad rating and road and track gave the 2001 clk55's a .91 so thats why i am curious to know the specs

This is from the May 2004 issue of Car and Driver where they compared the 2004 CLK55 against the BMW 645ci, and the Maserati cuope cambiocorsa. The CLK55 came in first place by the way!

W209 CLK55 AMG, 89' E300
thanks a lot for the specs. i can't believe though that the clk handles only at .87g's. in road and track the old 2001 CLK55 amg got rated at .91. do u think if car and driver did the test that the old one would handle better than the w209?
