W209 55 AMG rough shifting
Hi All
I have been having a few issues with my 55 in that when the engine is cold the gear shifting is quire rough and the RPM's fluctuate. As soon as the car has warmed up all if fine. The car has only this week reached 90k miles.
I have access to Xentry and there are no errors at all. I used Xentry to perform the diagnosis routines. When I turn off the TCC lockup (when the car is cold), the car drives really smooth with no jerking or RPM fluctuations. Has anyone had any experience of this? The transmission was serviced and oil change about 1000 miles ago. I am thinking that either the TCC lockup solenoid is faulty or the torque converter itself is having issues. I would have thought that if the torque converter itself was on its way out, then I would see symptoms regardless of whether the car is cold or warm/hot.
Appreciate any thoughts on this before I start throwing $'s at it.
