Hey folks, hope all are doing fine and keeping well.
I am considering reupholstering my designo interior with new leather.
Its color code is X35 Natural Brown designo.
The only problem is, I do not want to cancel the pressed designo logo in the backrest of the front seats.
Any ideas on how I can go about having my new leather with the designo logo pressed into it?
Ahmed, a good upholstery shop should be able to take care of that for you. I would ask and make sure, or even pay a little extra for them to give you a sample on a scrap piece of leather before hand and make sure it is what you want. Shouldn't be too difficult if they know what they are doing. The only other option i would suggest is to wait for front seats to pop up on eBay. You may be able to find a pair in really good condition, and in that case, you can recoup some of the money spent by selling your old ones.
I have absolutely no issues replacing the leather, I just don't know how I can have the designo emblem retained on the new leather.
Maybe a hot stamp machine? But who does that and I will need to provide them the logo in high resolution I'm guessing.
