Pondering a 2004 clk55amg purchase
Hi all, I'm pondering a 2004 CLK55AMG purchase as my fun daily driver, found one close with 49k, two owners all books but no service records. I'm intrigued with the cars combo of E55 AMG built engine, AMG suspension etc bits in a W209 platform. Not new to the marque, this would be my 14th MB both vintage and new. Currently own a 2018 GLE350 for work and an awesome 2000 E430 Sport with AMG upgrades for the fun car. After some research over a couple of weeks both online and a knowledgable local shop seems like as with the E55 lots of guys who buy them don't keep them long term, not sure I want to be that guy with a similar situation regardless of the very positive online MBWorld reviews and others.
