I have a 320 CLK with a mollesman supercharger kit installed. This means that the engine now sucks in much more air and therefore a K&N filter was installed to replace the orginal one. The problem is that my airmass unit collects soil and dust much more quickly now and i NEED to know how do you clean an airmass unit? or at least with what material and in what method? to extend its life cylce a bit. I read some earilier postings on this forum that it can be cleaned.
(and don't tell me to just change the darn thing please) this is a last resort

you need a T20 torx screw. Unscrew the sensor from the housing pipe, and spray the mettallic element strip with an ELECTRONIC CONTACT CLEANER. Let it dry up for a short while, then scerw it back on.
