winter/snow tires?
I'm using our 2001 stock rims. Dunlop M3's are getting good reviews, on tirerack. What size and which rating to go with? I live in Chicago. Is it correct that, V is more for ice and H is more for snow? I'll guess that during the winter months when it's dry, that the V-rated tires would be better.

check this link out from Luke @ Tirerack for winter tires this year: https://mbworld.org/forums/wheels-tires-suspension-brakes-forum/85312-winter-wheel-tire-thread.html
letters designate the speed at which the tire can safely travel up to, V-up to 155mph, H-up to 130mph....hope this helps

I went with the M3's. Front 225-45-17 Rear 255-40-17. They don't make a 245. I felt that since the vast majority of winter days, aren't heavy/moderate snow covered streets, that I'd rather go towards the wider sizes.
