CLK63AMG Head bolts and others keeper or leaver?
Apologies if this has been brought up before. I searched. I'd like some opinions please. I have a 2007 CLK 63 AMG with 58K miles. Perfectly maintained. I've had it 4 years and drive it less than 1,000 miles/yr. It is a great car which seems to be appreciating. The one concern that worries me the most is what I've been reading about head bolt failure and the catastrophic damage to the engine.
I'd like to know the general opinion. Is head bolt failure overblown, or is it a time bomb waiting to happen and failure is inevitable if they are not changed before they fail?
I'm deciding if this is a good car to keep, or sell. Thanks all. I appreciate your opinion.
