Goodbye CLK55

To my buddies on the board,
We’ll my car will be back to stock in about a week. I’m taking my W208 CLK55 back to stock and selling it. I split time between Huntington Beach, California and Maui, Hawaii. I seem to only spend 3 days to a week per month in CA where the CLK55 resides. The car is an ’01 with 8,500 miles. I rarely drive it, time to let someone else enjoy this fabulous car.

If any of you are interested in the parts, email me at hoku80@yahoo.com. I don’t check the board as much as I used to. For sale: Carlsson RS body kit, 19" HRE polished 540s with Pirelli Neros, Brembos, Lorinser roof and deck wings, H&R springs, Konis & Expression light weight hood (not in this pic).

Although not as frequent, I plan to continue to surf the boards and see you all at the meets in SoCal. I still have the W220 Brabus on Maui and need to have some MBWorld forum time. I’m also thinking about the next project. Maybe a MB SL55 or a convertible BMW 645 (sorry MB fans)

Aloha,
DC

Brembos sold

Brembos sold, looks like the suspension and Lorinser parts will be sold soon too. let me know if you guys are interested in any of the parts. I really would like to find someone with a Brillant Silver CLK55 in Southern California that would like to buy the Lorinser parts and swap trunks.

Thanks,
DC

2002 MB CLK55
Unhappy Goodbye CLK

DC, it appears I have the same setup on my 2002 CLK55 as you had on yours. I have 19" HRE 543Rs (8 1/2 front and 9 1/2 rear) with the Pierelli Neros, the Brembo Gran Turismo brakes, and I lowered the car using H&R Sport springs with Koni adjustable shocks (#2 pads front and #3 pads rear). I can't figure out how to eliminate the tires rubbing on the inner surface of the wheel wells when the suspension compresses due to traveling though a dip or on rough roads. The wheels have been back to HRE once already and they say the offset is correct. Did you have this problem and if so, how did you correct it?

Ewwww. BMW 645ci looks like a disaster!

How about Ferrari F430? The design is as captivating as Emilio Pucci's laser print scarfs!

DMC,
Although the setup was tight, I had no rubbing issues. I'm in SoCal until the weekend and could possibly check it out or I could ask Wayne from A-One to look at it for you. Email me if you are interested: hoku80@yahoo.com

Thanks to DC, I have some new wheels. Fit is perfect - some might say "snug".

The tailight things are ghetto big time, no offense. Sweet rims though!
