I am looking at a 2005 Mercedes CLK55 AMG is it a good buy
2005 Mercedes CLK55 amg with 88 thousand miles clean carfax all new tires brakes and coolant overhaul. If I got a pre purchase inspection and it all check out how reliable would this car be ? I don’t want a money pit and I am fine with little stuff but I don’t want a endless pit. Is the m113 in this car good ?

Anything with a star on the hood costs lots of money to entertain and maintain!
M113 is a great engine as long as the oil changes has been done.
Check for body and undercarriage rust.
Electronic gremlins.
Transmission shifts smooth on every gear?

Depend on how much you paid. Its a 17 years old car and still need some love. I would recommend do a major service. Oil change, tranny service, spark plug, CPS, coolant flush.
