W209 CLK55 Oil level question.
Hello, I did an oil change on my 2004 CLK55 and I’m having a bit of mystery with the oil level.
The issue I’m having is I did a full bottom drain, & new oil filter, I put in the recommended 9 quarts. I ordered a universal Mercedes oil dip stick tool off Amazon and when I searched for the measurements for my car it says 163mm to 165mm on the tool. But with 9 quarts of oil I’m only at 120mm!
the car has no oil leaks, the electronic oil level check on dash is saying oil level OK…but I don’t trust this very much.
any ideas? It’s driving me crazy…It seems nearly impossible to get to the recommended oil level on the tool as this would be way to much oil, I’m just getting comfort knowing I’ve at least put in the proper oil level
