Brabus Alcon Front Calipers
Hi everyone, my name is Greg, recently bought a 1999 Brabus W208 CLK. I bought the car with the front Brabus calipers missing. Previous owner told me he'd give them to me as soon as he finds them in his garage, it's been 4 months. Safe to assume parts were hard to find, and he just put regular CLK calipers. Reaching out simply to see if I can find any leads/help to a source. I appreciate any help.
Thank you, Greg
P.S. Owner also told me he had documentation on the car in regards to the upgrades. He also hasn't provided me that either. CarFax shows car spent a year in Germany in the beginning of it's life, I don't doubt the car is a genuine Brabus (even Brabus leather seats). I reached out to Andreas at Brabus, who recognizes it as such, but they're not able to look up the records anymore. Has anyone seen this thing around, car show perhaps, pictures, anything?
Thank you, Greg

If that's a genuine Brabus you have a 5,8L engine.
Car was neglected, nasty curb rash on wheel and other things.
Previous owner didn't have money to buy proper tires for this car, he should have bought a Prius instead!
Your plan is to restore this car?

Thanks Matt it is indeed to restore it. Trans was broken, got that rebuilt, new plugs wires, filters, maybe 6 oil changes there was so much gunk in the engine, motor mounts, tires... Now I need brakes, I have AMG calipers just in case, but would really love to find the Brabus calipers to complete the car.

Hey Greg, welcome and nice find! Any idea if any work has been done to the engine? Regardless that has a lot of rare parts from Brabus.
As far as the Calipers, There’s actually a set on eBay right now if you want to scoop them up. They’re not cheap but unfortunately anything from that era is going to be pricey and hard to find nowadays. You can still get lucky here and there you just have to keep your eyes open. I’ll post the link below. Good luck with the build/resto and keep us posted with the progress!

Thanks Brother appreciate the feedback! I've seen those I'm not sure if anything was done, a quick drive around the block felt pretty quick. There is no serial number on the engine in the usual spot, it's blank, but seeing what I can piece together. Seems whoever ordered this was probably a low key person with a lot of dough.
