Car sits slightly higher after installing H&R springs
So, there you have it. I should have done more homework on this before paying for new springs. But then again, how was I suppose to know?
H&R are not admitting this, but they are targeting US spec CLK55's in their marketing, knowing very well that Euro cars are lower from factory as they do not have bumper height regulations that the US cars do. They even sent me this picture comparing my car with H&R springs to a US stock car with 17" wheels. Go figure.. They should have figured this out when they took my VIN number and asked me to take a pic of every spring and the box showing the part number.
I went ahead and ordered #1 (5mm) and #2 (9mm) pads for the front, and number #1 (5mm) pads for the rear.
Anyways, in conclusion. If you own a Euro CLK55, don't waste your money on H&R springs, just replace the pads.
