I ordered from partsgeek. This is what the transmission mount looks like. The old one doesn't actually have a tear or rip in it. Just the very beginning of one, but it is stiffer than this new one with thinner rubber. I needed the motor mounts, but for a bit more money, this is a complete 3 piece set. The motor mounts look fine, but this transmission mount looks weak. The oil filter housing seal was just there because I need to change it. I didn't even realize it was in the picture until I uploaded it. LOL

Re-install the old trans mount and measure where the trans 'hangs' at.
Compare with the new one. If the same chances are the old one is fine.
Also compare quantity of vibrations in the car with old vs new.
Your 'Old' trans mount doesn't look bad (without weight on it).

OP i Bought a new trans mount not too long ago and thought they sent me a defective unit as well. It looked like the mount was ripped, however its actually just excess rubber from the mold when they are made. If you stick your finger in there you'll see what i mean, its just a very thin layer of rubber that wasn't cut out of the mold.
I would install the new one personally. The trans mount I removed from the car looked fine as well, however i installed the new one. It fixed the vibration issue i was having at 1300rpm so i would recommend replacing it with new even if the old one still looks good.

I guess I will try using it. I'll save the old one in case it goes out, since it has almost half the amount of rubber holding it. That back section, at the center of the mount, is very thin and doesn't add any real strength to the mount.
