Both would seem to change the geometry.

Chappy how did your alignment turn out after your springs?
Maybe because the Euro Springs are OEM?

I put the springs on in November 2004. I had the dealer install them, and had them do an alignment (I had new tires too).....the alignment was within spec.

I don't know anything about the H&R springs....

Well that would be interesting, I would go ESS if it did not mess up the alignment where it could not be reset. From what I hear if I go H&R I have to do a camber kit which will be way more than the ESS and an alignment. I was reading people getting 6-8k miles off a set of tires before they had to toss them from poor alignment.

zoom on -- fyi, you may be able to get the euro springs from your local MB dealer. just try to get the part number and then call them. i know that the euro springs for the C43 AMG are available at US dealers (as a 210 part) and they cost something like 50 bucks each. just dont call referring to a "euro spec" part ... they wont know what youre talking about. thought youd like to know.

You are 100% correct. The funny thing is that I don't think their is any such thing as a "euro spec spring" they are really just regular MB springs used by different models..

That was probably two computers ago.... I may have posted it here previously or had gotten a response from the kind folks over at the AMG Owners Club (Germany). I don't have it saved on this computer, sorry.

No. Actually, I just ordered them from www.carnewal.com and told him what car I had and the options. He sourced them and shipped them to me from Belgium.

Here's an old thread I found from 3.5 years ago...

Does anyone have the part # for the Euro Springs??? When I check this russian Website it gives these part #'s for a CLK55 W208.

Front: 2103213204
Rear: 2083240204

Are these the part #'s for the euro spring?? If so I looked them up on oemparts direct dot com and they came up.

There are at least 5 people who have these springs, doesn'y anyone have a part #???

I asked that question 4 years ago and never got an answer....(scroll down - my initial post is #34)

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...43+euro+spring

Let us know if you get some definitive information. If you order those springs from OEM parts direct you may wind up with the exact same springs you already have on your ride....(the U.S. height version). My suggestion would be to contact Gert or mbenz.nl for assistance.

Chappy,

When you received your springs from Gert, didn't they have part #'s on them?? Or didn't he send you an invoice with part #'s on them?? How about anyone else that has bought springs from GERT.

The springs that arrived did have MB labels (bar codes, etc.) on them, but I removed them prior to installation....that was some years ago. Since my springs fit perfect and I didn't have any issues, it is likely any packing slip or other details have long since been discarded.

As posted in my thread above:

On my quest to find part #'s for the elusive Euro Spring, I been in communication with GERT, but the funny thing is. He is being just as elusive. He doesn't want to give me part #'s. Here is his reponses from email:

Hi,

I don’t have the part nrs. I order these from my MB guy using the full description of the car.

Regards,

Gert.

Here's another:

Why do you need part nrs ?

Here's another:

Just curious, how do you check the part nr from your original springs ?

I know they have colored dots to point out the tolerances.

All of these replies tell me one thing. There is no AMG Euro Spec Spring. It's probably just a set of springs from a different model that fit perect and lower the car just a bit. But he sells them to everyone and makes a killing. The only reason I have been checking into to it is because I don't want to go with H&R's, but with todays exchange rate the So called Euro Springs would be about $460.00 shipped, thats about twice the price of H&R's. I believe if I could just get the part #'s I could order them from a dealership here and spend about $300.00. So for all you guys that have installed the Euro spring, somebody help and give me some part #'s. THANKS!!!

Well after searching hard I finally found post with Euro Spec part #'s. Here is the link:

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...hlight=springs

Turns out the front springs can be bought for $180.00 from Oem Oarts Direct. The Rear springs aren't in their system. I will check into at my dealer. I believe they can't be much more. If thats the case then these springs can be purchased here, plus it loks like the front springs are an E-CLASS Spring. I'll let everyone know what happens. No reason to spend crazy money on a set of springs.

Wonder why the do not list the rear number. And you think that the price of 89.00 is a per spring cost vs front springs? (Both for 89.00)

I'm sure its only for 1. But still $360.00 for Benz springs is still cheaper then H&R and a camber kit.

I think I will try to clarify some stuff here.

The part numbers you have are the correct for the european 208 CLK55 AMG.
USA version of CLK55 AMGs have different part numbers for the springs and these changes along with the options you have on your car and the designated model number within the CLK. But most importantly, you will have to order a new set of pads as well to get more low ride. or you could just use the pad to lower 0.5 inch from your current spring. What is it that you want? How much do you want to drop your car?

Well I I talked to Steve and he confirmed those part #'s. He told me he can get me the rear for $150.00. He said he could get the fronts as well, but they were available in the USA. So I am going to order the front today from my dealer and order the rear from Steve. For a grand total of $318.00. I knew there had to be a cheaper way to get these springs. Not that I didn't trust GERT, but with the exchange rate it is just out of control.

I want to drop the car an 1" at least, Plus I just don't like the way the H&R's look, I feel they drop the car way to much and make it look ricey. I'm sure the ride with H&R's suck too. Way to rough.

So did he say how long before you got them? I would be curious how much it drops the car. Hate to say it like this but I will see how yours turns out and what you think. Please keep us updated.
