For Those Newly Interested

With some time on my hands (recovering from surgery) I came up with a way to stop the bottleneck our oem air boxes. The picture with the red circle shows where the bottleneck is. (Side note the pictures of the air box shows in primer and the other paint still drying…)

In the past I just raised the air box by splitting it in half. I’m still doing that but now I’m cutting off what I’m calling the THROAT. After cutting that off I raise that section so there will be a huge area for the engine to breathe.

Not an easy job for sure but it makes a great difference at half or wide open throttle. I’m also modding the middle top portion of the air box. This has that step like between the front and back of the box. Inside the box it’s like a step so I cut it off so it will connect with the back and front part. This makes the air inside travel smoother and faster as now there’s no interference in air flow.

I’m also modifying the front sides, making it more round for a little more air space/volume inside, and it looks nice out side the box..

Making the air boxes I’m still using oem plastic to weld and for structure. But now I’m also using fiberglass, I don’t like working with fiberglass but it makes the air boxes super strong all around, so it’s worth it.

I’m only going to make few of these boxes and put them on the side for those that appreciate this kind of work and effort. It will be expensive so that’s why I’m only making a few of them.

Price will be $600.00 shipped within the USA. $490.00 if you send back your core. Sending back your core that you will NEVER need is the best way to go to buy this air box, it’s up to you.

I’m still offering the original air box for $545.00 shipped within the USA. If that price is better for you.

I know many here already know about my air boxes and some already own my air box. But I always get emails people asking if I’m still making them. So this post will help me out..

Thanks for looking.

That step on top of the oem box is deleted and I raise the back part to be even with the back part. And inside that step is gone so you get better air flow.

In primer so you can really see the difference compared to the oem box.

Bottleneck that chokes airflow, specially at wide open throttle.

Just a nice looking air box that doesn’t take away the oem look.

Even in the back it’s lifted.

No bottleneck at all.

Try sticking your hand in the oem box. My box will allow so much more air to go to the engine.

Wanted to post that I’m all done with these special modded boxes.
From here on I will only make them per request.
Im going back to the original modded air boxes and thinking of selling them for $525.00.WITHOUT your core, and $405.00 if you send me your core. You must pay full price till I receive your core. Once received I will send you $120.00.

Thanks for reading.
