Debadged 6-Speed '05 C320 Sports Coupe
Outstanding seats in the black perlon velour. Not at all interested in the leather.
But, in that price range I'd prefer a manual transmission Porsche.

new CLK 63 AMG Black Series was developed in the AMG PERFORMANCE STUDIO opened in 2006. The first units of the unlimited AMG special series will be delivered to customers starting in June.

Spoke to my dealer three times today. 
Base price in the 90's US $. Pricing due tomorrow.
Porsche GT3's base is 106K but most of the dealers are loading them up to the 130's. The GT3 RS which I had on order was going to be 149K and the dealer wanted a 35K market adjustment.
Porsche is only making 220 RS's and I thought that would be a nice piece, but its more track than street.
I think the CLK 63 black series will be killer for track days. I wish it was a little lighter and we had the euro seats but the extra cooling for trans and power streering as well as engine means it's serious. Funny, I wasn't this excited about the porsche.

because its a drop top... price the coupe a little lower and add 15 to 20k... and there you have it, your hovering around 100-105ish

That makes perfect sense to me. Merc. Cab's are always more $$ than hardtops by well over 10K or more. Base price for this car should be around 100K. I will find out tomorrow night at the AMG preview in NYC. I can't wait to go to this event!!!

Actually, there's a typo on the mercedes-amg page itself? On http://http://www.mercedes-amg.com/CLK_Black_Series/ under Technics | Performance it says 0-200 m in 13,8s. Which, although fast for a human, is mind-bogglingly slow for a car. Presumably this is supposed to be 0-200 km/h?
