Given that our cars are projector HID, the surrounds are probably more for show than serve an actual reflexive function.
I think it'll look great on your white BS, but you'll have to make a commitment to take the lights off, bake it to soften the silicon seal and open it up, then paint, re-bake, seal it up. And hope that there's no leak
