Dealer Installed Bluetooth For CLK63 BS
Looking for owners who have installed the Bluetooth phone device in their CLK63 Black Series. The sales and service staff at my local dealer say it can't be done....although I have read in other posts that it is a possible dealer installed option. For those of you who have had it installed, could you either post the part numbers from your invoice or e-mail/PM me with the details.
In California, it is now mandatory to use a handsfree device when driving.

Napleton Mercedes (beautiful, glamorous Schererville, Indiana) did it for me.
Thier phone number is 219-865-3800. I've forgotten the name of the female service writer, but if you use my name, they will know exactly what they ordered. For my installation, there was an initial error when the parts came in. They received the components for a CLk convertible, and had to reorder. If you hit a dead end, I will chase it down.AS

Thanks for the info. My dealer has the parts on order. Meanwhile, I am enjoying logging in the first 1000 break-in miles. I took delivery on Saturday.

Part Numbers For Bluetooth Installation
My local dealer installed the integrated Bluetooth module on my new CLK 63 without any problems. It works great and has full functionality of all the Command features. No broken or loose interior parts. No new rattles. Suprisingly, the vehicle is NOT prewired, and does require the purchase of the correct wiring harness in addition to an "installation kit" and the actual "Bluetooth Module".
For those who are "do-it-yourself" types, the required part numbers are as follows: Q-6-82-0912($496), Q-6-82-0965 ($1,140), 6-7-87-5878 ($493). Prices quoted are list prices from the dealer parts department. The most challenging aspect appears to be the threading of the new harness, with the rest of the installation being "plug-and-play".
For those who prefer to have a certified MB technician perform the task, the labor was listed for 4.5 hours.
Hope this information is helpful to other CLK 63 owners, especially those of you who live in California. Beginning July 2008, law enforcement agencies will begin ticketing drivers who are not using "hands-free" cellphone technology while operating a motor vehicle.

Speaking of BT, could someone give me a quick tutorial on how get the my phone and the car find each other. They both seem to have a "find me" function but not a "look for a device" function. My Razr only has a Find Me option. Thanks.

With my Razor, here are the steps I go through:
Open the flap/cover on the phone
Press the right arrow on the center button twice to get to the "Settings & Tools menu
Press 8 "Connections"
Press 2 "Bluetooth"
Select "Handsfree"
When you see the question regarding turning the power on for Bluetooth, press the button located at the very top of the keypad on the right (near the hinge)
Next, you should see a listing of Bluetooth devices.
Select the correct one, and it should sync up.
