CLK 63 Black Series, 2009 S550, 2011 Range Rover Supercharged, BMW F800 GS Anniv Edition
What will u use the car for? That makes a big difference. Also, asking thins question in the Black Series forum and you will most likely receive some biased opinions. Personally, I have driven both on and off the track and the Black Series wins hands down. Not to mention the exclusivity factor...Turbos are pretty common in Los Angeles and I have only seen one other Black Series in the year that I have owned my car.

I have both (2002 ttX50, purchased new, now with reflash, exhaust, and lowered) and a BS. I drive the BS every day, I did test the 997tt, and didn't think it enough improved.
Here is where the BS has the advantage:
1. Much more comfortable on the highway, no sensitivty to crosswinds
2.Quicker in traffic below 100 mph (there is a difference between 3.6 and 6.3 liters)
3. Real trunk (much easier to carry a tennis bag or stop at the supermarket)
4. Much better turn-in for high performance driving
5. Much better track car. You need to do nothing but adjust air pressures.
6. DRIFTS!!!!!
7. Much more unusual
8. More involving and more fun to drive.
Here is where the tt has an advantage:
1. Snow
The prices are very comparable. If you need to drive in snow, can only get one, and are willing to put on snow tires, then you need the Porsche. As of last year, tire rack had no snow tires for my BS, otherwise I'd drive it year round. I did switch to Bridgestones for street driving, though now on the Corsas for periodic track use. AS

The classic porsche shape makes it look old next to a CLK 63 Black. I parked it next to a nice new turbo at Cars and Coffee and no one was taking pictures of the turbo but there was a crowd around the Black.
Performance wise there very close except for the all wheel drove which you need with 63% of the weight behind the rear wheels. I 've had many porsche and still own a twin turbo of 96 vintage. The porsche stays covered and I perfer the Black.

I owned a 996TT and I have limited seat time in the Black but it was clear to me that the turn in ability of the Black was sharper than the 911. Exiting the turn I would prefer the Black.
The ride in the Black was better, acceleration (stock v. stock) was better in the Black, the interior is roomier in the Black, the colors in my 911 were definitely better than the black Black.
Highway fuel economy favors the 911 but both cars only go a short distance between fill ups, given their 16 gallon tanks.

I am a Porsche nut, but the Black Series should be compared to the GT3, and for all around uses it is the better car. On the track it would take an accomplished professional in a GT3 to out gun a Black Series
To those who appreciate performance, it smokes the TT. Except if the AWD is a requirement.

2006 SLK 55 amg, 2002 CLK 430 Cab (hers), 1989 944 Turbo (sold), CLK 500 (sold), 125cc shifter kart
I'm a huge Porsche fan and have owned many of them, but Merc has won me over in the past few years. Not sure where you live, but the 911 Turbo has turned into a bit of a poser car here in LA. Porsche has really softened it up from the original 1976 930 which I owned a while back. If I went Porsche I would opt for the GT2, GT3, or GT3RS. Otherwise stick with the Black.
