E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Motorized Seatbelt Deal
Is it possible to stop the motorized, retracting seatbelt deal ?
So that when you start the engine, it doesn't extend out ?
Or maybe take the seatbelt behind the seat to plug it in to prevent the beeping ?
(On my E63 I stuck the belts behind the front two seats, and plugged in the socket. That way they don't beep and you don't have to wear them.)
I have never liked how the CLKs seatbelt originating area has that arm that extends, I see it out of the corner of my eye and hate it.
Please no comments about how important seat belts are or that they save lives.
Very concerned about this because I am a perfectionist and little things bother me a great deal.
Thanks in advance.

Patience young grasshopper,
They go back into their own little space after a very very very short 9 seconds.
AND
Seatbelts do save lives.

About the beeping I'm not sure but to make it not extend out I remember putting the race seats in and when I unplugged the box under the seat that stopped working. I don't remember the logistics of if the light stayed on and what not but the controller is under the seat. Maybe that helps.
