2008 MBZ CLK63 AMG Black Series
Calling all Los Angeles Area Black Series OWNERS
I own a Black Series (Black) in the LA beach area and my friend has a white one in Simi Valley. SMP has a silver one in the beach area too. So that is 3 in the LA area out of 367 imported to the US. Anyone else want to check-in?
Maybe we can get together and do the Car's N' Coffee in Irvine one Saturday morning this winter/spring.
Also, Tony form Eurocharged told me he might plan an LA trip in April to do dyno runs (baseline and after flash) and ECU tuning... which would be a good thing for us to get a "group-buy" going. I am sure my friend would do that with me. Other AMGs would also be welcome of course.

Add me to the list as well, silver...Beverly Hills. Etian...do you have a friend you visit on Loma Vista? I see a white one parked on the street there every once in a while as it's around the corner from my house.
Just as a data point....I know of 4 others in the LA area besides mine and besides the ones listed here. As far as AMG sales in SoCal...80% of all AMG's are sold here.

...it's true, white paint is lighter, espeically lighter than metallics and white also has a better drag coefficient, I'm no engineer or scientist but it has something to do with the molecules of oxygen flowing over the surface of the car, they move faster over white surfaces. Racing stripes were invented for this reason, guys with blue, black and red cars could never quite match the perfomance of white cars so they started adding white stripes that followed the same path as the air going over the car, from the hood back to the rear deck lid. People thought the racing stripes looked cool so they started adding them in different colors, but the original ones were white.

So when is this meeting going to be taking place. I'm most likely going to be shipping my car out to evosport in the next few weeks so there is a good possibility I might be able to attend. Lemme know some dates as soon as possible.
...One more thing, you might want to post something over on the AMG Private Lounge as well, I know there are a few SoCal and Central Cal guys that frequent that board but not MB World

im in, black/black from newport beach. but i was wondering what your faces would look like if i bring my modded evosport r63 instead and smoke all the stock clk's.

So when is this meeting going to be taking place. I'm most likely going to be shipping my car out to evosport in the next few weeks so there is a good possibility I might be able to attend. Lemme know some dates as soon as possible.
...One more thing, you might want to post something over on the AMG Private Lounge as well, I know there are a few SoCal and Central Cal guys that frequent that board but not MB World

The AMG Private Lounge is the official Mercedes Benz/AMG website, it is run by AMG. It does not get as much traffic as MB World, nor is it as cool. It's a good place to find out about recalls/service bulletins and AMG news in general as well as AMG sponsored events and track days across the country. The nice thing about the Lounge is that everyone on the site is a real AMG owner, no posers, you need an actual AMG vin# to register a username.
