I'll have to ask my buddy who has a matte silver black series. He did tell me though if he gets any paint chips, they would have to re-do the entire car

That same car was listed a few weeks ago through the Online Vehicle Exchange (for Dealers) 6k miles for $93.9k.

It doesn't look like they are; there are 2 BS on eBay motors Buy It Now at $81 and $85k and a few that have sold recently for similar prices. A 3rd one at $89 is being sold by a dealer known for high prices.

Most people don't realize that there is a difference between Matt Black and Satin Black ... the car in this thread, if painted, would be Satin Black.

Matt has less than 50% gloss where Satin normally has above 55% gloss. The 55% gloss will give you a smooth enough finish to wax like a full gloss paint .... a matt surface is too open and will hold wax and get all f'd up ... matt is almost like primer.

I'm having my race car painted with satin black, blood red wheels with red&white old school pinstriping ... we'll see first hand how hard it is to maintain.

Here is the race car ... just picked up the body panels today and set them on the car. Paid a total of $600 for the paint, so it isn't near show quality ... but heck, it's a race car. I went over it with some quick detailer spray and it wiped down fine. I think it's going to be OK.

And NO, the super toys aren't mine ... only the black one is mine

amen. took the paint shop three tries to get my old HRE's right. They kept shooting gloss clear on them. NO. 60% gloss = satin.

Well .... The Radical SR3 is a 2008 powered by a stroked 1500cc Hybusa with a 6-speed sequential, runs on 15"-16" f-r... mine is a Swift DB2 ... late 80's technology, powered by a 2000cc Ford Cosworth (175hp) with a 4-speed manual ... runs on 13" wheels all around.

Taking it out for the first time next week at Spring Mountain ... should run close to the Radical. I'm a little nervous ... hoping my experience in shifter karts rolls over to the car.

It's a spec car ... built on 13" wheels

Here's a Speedvision clip on S2 ... mine is a little different being that it has a Cosworth DOHC 2000cc Ford ... S2 specs an SOHC 2000cc Ford ... I have about 30 more hp than S2 .... will probably convert to SOHC in the future so I can run S2 ... now I have to run CSR

Killer little race car man - congrats. SCCA nationals are VERY competitive with some great drivers. Is that what you plan to do with the car ?

NO no no no no ... just local club track days ... maybe switch engines to a SOHC and run a little vintage or local SCCA ... don't have the budget or skills to run at a national level.

How do you like your Cigarette ... need I even ask

Gotcha re nationals...either way you will have a ton of fun and be able to enjoy racing for a very affordable level, all things considered.

Very much enjoying the Cig now that Summer is finally here...
Made it from Huntington Beach to Avalon (26 miles) in 18mins over this past weekend
