New wheels for the BS!
I sold the SL55 last week (I caved b/c I thought it might take some time to sell but, it sold in 2 days!!!)
and the buyer wanted the original wheels so I kept the 20" O.Z. Ultraleggera. Was thinking on Saturday after the car was picked up if they'd fit on the BS so I did some calculating. With a 10mm spacer the rears sit exactly where the stocks did with a 12mm spacer. The fronts sit 1mm inboard with the 12mm spacer from the rears compared where the stocks sit w/o a spacer. I plan on ordering a 20mm spacer for the fronts and in spite of where the rears sit I'm going to move the 12mm from the fronts back to the rears.
I'm not necessarily committed to these wheels but I do really like the style and think I might do something fun with them like paint them red........![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)

Great, when you paint the wheels red, don't forget to paint the center caps yellow
..............OK, just playing with you Chuck
............the wheels actually don't look bad, however with 20" you'll have some traction issues.

Thanks guys! I really like this wheel and it looked awesome on my SL:

They've actually been painted once already; the rears were a different color than the fronts..... I want to do something fun with the wheels. I've seen enough white cars with black wheels to last a lifetime. Not that it's a bad look, I actually really like it but I just want to do something different. Something original on a BS?
Bright red might not be the color? Perhaps its a dark burgundy or a dark burnt red?
Bright red would be kinda in your face and I'm not sure I want that!

Why not match the body color in the center and do the face of the lip bright red.
The old AMG/OZ 3 piece Aero I's from the 80's were fairly common with the center matching the body color...
Remember the "roots" of AMG when they were an independent tuner..
The customer would get anything he wanted !!!!![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

I don't think red would look pimp at all b/c when I think pimp I think way oversized wheel with a huge lip in chrome with maybe some red on the spinner?
I could be wrong.....
I also kind of like what Ed suggests although I'm not a fan of white wheels either and me thinks it would be difficult to find somebody to execute the color scheme on these wheels and do it to my expectations.......
I'm going to take my time, get the fitment right and then decide on what color(s) I'm going to do. I also appreciate everyone's opinion but ultimately will do what I think looks good without reservation.

AMG_RL, that would look good you're right but the same problem about finding someone to do it is still the problem....
Thought about both a gunmetal type finish and darker gold. I like the gunmetal look as long as it's not too dark and there is a picture of a 997 with gold O.Z. Ultraleggera HLTs and it didn't look too good. Of course it was not a dark gold it was very light and just didn't look right. The 997 is/was white too.....

when i said "ur killing me chuck" i meant im not feeling that rim design. Maybe changing the color will help, but id have to see it. The thin spokes are what kills it for me i think. Im the only one hating on you.....sry bro.
