Saw a CLK63 BS AMG at WSID Sydney Australia tonight run a 11.125 at 128mph!
I think that is a world record for mph and very close to the fastest ET!!
Go you good thing!

That is a very impressive pass, do you know what kind of mods are on it? 128MPH and 11.125 are not records, high 10's at over 135 is where the current BS bar is set.

Really. Where is that BS? haven't seen anything showing a 10second or 135mph! Thats insane fast...
The BS last night was breaking loose at mid track, I think it had NOS among other mods!
Well it's defiantly an Australia record!

It is my Black Series and my passes were made with nitroust as well, but I am running 11.1s without nitrous. As for the tires breaking loose beyond mid track, yes it happens to my car too but there are several nay sayers on this sight that say its impossible and I'm either imaging it, or I'm lying and a few have said its just my tires "floating". I attribute the wheelspin to the very stiff road race suspension, these cars were not designed or engineered to be dragsters. I have played around with the ride height and compression settings on the rear shocks and seen decent improvent in my 60ft as well as less mid track wheel spin. If you know the owner of that car tell him to log on here or PM me, I be happy to share those settings.

Jrcart your BS is awesome! I was always reading the evosport website about your car!
It defiantly broke loose at mid track, I spoke to the driver after and he said that he had to back off other wise he would have been in trouble!!

I think it's highly unlikey, not impossible, to spin tires past half track on a non turbo car when you dont spin them in the first 1/8th. The most difficult part is getting traction off the line and through first and maybe even 2nd gear. To spin sticky tires on a sticky track after the 1/8th requires a tremendous amount of power. A friend of mine ran mid 7's in a full interior viper on drag radials at MIR. Didn't spin past the 1/8th and makes a crazy amount of power. What's your best pass to date Jim? I heard you did some SLS stuff and its even faster now

I'm not gonna get into the wheel spin discussion again, I know what wheel spin looks like on a tach and feels like seat of the pants.

As for my best times, they have not changed since spring and they are not as fast as you so its a moot point. Been too darn hot here all summer to even attempt anything, I think your weather out east has been even hotter.

Ok I'm sure you do. I will take your word for it.

I'm not asking to compare the times to mine, I just like seeing other fast benzes run. I actually like your BS believe it or not. I am probably selling the car soon to another benz enthusiast so I will be out of the game. And yes, it has been very hot out here, sucks!

Unless you are heavily modded you won't touch a ZR1, back in March or April my last time at the track there was a lightly tuned ZR1 running mid 10s with terrible 60 ft times ON STOCK TIRES! ZR1s are insane. A stock BS will run very high 11s in perfect conditions with a good driver but 12.1s are more realistic, a stock ZR1 will run 11.5s without breaking a sweat. There are already a handful of tuners that have gotten ZR1s into the high 9s. My times were run with nitrous, race fuel, tons of other mods and on MT Street E/T tires 10.8s are nothing to sneeze at but ZR1s are in a different league. Kaetech is rumored to have gotten close to 900rwhp (no nitrous) out of one they are prepping for an upcoming standing mile event, 3000 pounds + 900 rwhp = 250mph

I will mop up your buddies stock ZR1 if it is truly stock, but all he needs is a tune a pully and exhaust and he will be running right along side me or quicker on his stock tires.

Spinning on the track has a lot of factors involved - track prep, track surface temperature, tire condition and tire temperature. I don't understand the logic of - my friend, on day "A" at track "Z" didn't spin past 1/8th therefore somebody on day "B" at track "Y" couldn't spin either...

That is just nuts about the 900rwhp car, is it still supercharged or did they swap it over to a turbo?

I saw a vid of a lingenfelter car over in saudi that ripped from 200-220mph faster than most cars wind out 2nd gear.

Yes they definitely take well to mods, he's just kind of an *** and I'd like to show him that there are mercedes out there that can hand him his ***. Besides I don't think he's a very good driver and you know how that plays into it LOL.

Please let me know on the vids, you can email one if you want, oh the joy it would give me

Thanks!!!

That is on 93 octane and no nitrous though. That's not important. You've accomplished alot with your car and you should post the slip or vid. Would be cool to see! The answer to that depends on when you ask me lol, I have no idea what I'm getting next. One second I want an SL65, next 911 turbo, then grand national, then supra! Hahaha, too many cars and not enough money!

Yea that is very fast! I think thats the record for MB traps. As Jim said, the ZR1 is no joke. We had 5 or 6 of them at one of my last track rentals and they were going high 10s stock (all very good drivers, good weather, and track prep was amazing). Lingenfelter brought their ZR1 out to play and was running solid 9s with stock headers!

And just think you don't really need big motors, just motors that think their big.

There are plenty of those little 4 Cylinder 2 Liter EVO's running 10's and 9's on 93 Octane, here is a link to one.
