¿¿To spray or not to spray??

Just wondering if anyone here is on nitrous, can our 6.2's hold a 100 shot or 150 shot with no risks what so ever? Is there any tunning that should be done prior to going spray?

There are quite a few 63 guys on this board who spray and few Black Series also. JRcart is spraying and apparently putting 650whp down with no transmission problems reported. So it can be done and yes it 100% needs to be tuned for spray.

Sweet, would be nice for some of the guys to speak about their experiences and how the cars are running... Either way I'm pretty sure this engines and trannies will hold a 100 no prob.

NOS can be tricky and running it on our cars is more complicated than a chevy or ford, and really is only good for straight line use, well I suppose you could use it for road racing for some short bust but it would be for limited time given the size of the bottle.

The 6.3 is very stout and can handle 100 shot easily.

The problem with NOS is how to put the power down so you're going to need a programable system that will tailor when the juice hits you can put the power down which is over 4000 rpm. Any lower and it's up in smoke as the 285's can't harness the torque at low rpms.

Figure you can cut your 60-120 mph time by a full second with a 100 hp shot.
That will get you by stock Zo6's and Ford GT's. Choose your opponents carefully as most of the cars gunning for you aren't stock.

JrCart and Dads_C63 are spraying. Dads went through 2 tranny clutch packs. I think JrCart went thorugh more, IIRC.

I have gone through no tranny clutch packs and had no problems whatsoever. I have made close to 100 passes with a 100 shot and a recent compression and cylinder test shows compression levels consistant with factory new specs. If your system is installed correctly and you have a good tune the risks are minimal to nonexistant. Not sure why Dads (Keith) is eating tranny clutch packs??? My trans is rock solid, still laying down consistant 1.55-1.60 60s and no slipping of trans detected. I'm also running Mickey Thopson bias ply and using a brake stall launch technique. I believe Dads is running an MHP torque converter which I was told failed and needed replacement, I would bet all my chips that the torque converter failure led to the clutch pack issues.

My advice, spray the hell out of it, you can't break these motors.
