For those of you who've driven on the road course using R6s using non-OEM rims, can you give me some advice re: starting tyre pressures cold. There are now a couple of sizes in the R6 that will fit on the OEM size rims so I'm going to get some and see how the car handles with them. It does well as we all know on the OEM Corsas; (when they're hot at least), but without a doubt the R6 will be a couple of seconds a lap faster. R6s normally don't need really high hot pressures like the OEM Corsa does so I'm trying to get a decent start point re: cold/hot pressures.
Any help/advice appreciated.

I'd contact Hoosier and see what they say. If you have someone to help you at the track with a tire pressure gauge waiting for you to pull in from a hot lap that helps alot as they can immediatly check pressures while you stay in the car. I'd say start at about 30-35, run a few warm up laps, then run 5 or so hot laps and adjust from there.
Good luck, those things are gonna stick like crazy however they will not give you much feedback before they let go. I'd say one skidpad session would be ideal to see exactly where they start to break lose. Otherwise, take it easy at first and maybe even leave the traction control on for your first session.
I look forward to hearing your impressions of the Hoosiers. I was gonna run them at Willow last time we went but didn't have the time to get it done.

I've used the R6 on multiple cars in the past and am pretty familiar with the tyre. Just trying to see if there was a concensus starting point re: cold/hot pressures for our specific car. I'll re-read the Hoosier info from the Tirerack for more guidance.
